Computer aided architectural design techniques.

The main goal of this research is to develop novel computational techniques for design in different areas, for example architecture. Design problems are characterized by the absence of  well-defined solutions ; therefore it is necessary to investigate new approaches to these problems, beyond optimization techniques or the simple state space search. The development of such techniques can lead to  generation of CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools in which the human designer will interact with the computer in a productive manner, configuring design parameters and obtaining different proposals that can give insight into the creative process.
